Member, Golden Key National Honor Society. Sam is a native of Stone Mountain, Georgia and has lived his entire life in the Atlanta metropolitan area. He attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta before completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia in 1993. He completed law school in 1996 at the University of Georgia School of Law, and obtained his license to practice law in the same year.
Sam joined the firm of Toliver & Gainer at its inception in 1998. Toliver & Gainer is a firm devoted to helping people injured in car wrecks, medical negligence and pharmaceutical errors. The firm’s practice is solely based on representing individuals and families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Sam’s interest in this area of practice was triggered by his experiences prior to and during law school when he was struck by drunk drivers in two separate car wrecks. He has dealt with the difficult and unexpected circumstances surrounding being involved in a car wreck.
Sam is active in professional organizations including the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, The Rockdale County Bar Association (Treasurer) and The Newton County Bar Association. In addition, Sam is also active in community service as a member of the Conyers Rotary Club and in his local homeowners association serving on the boards of both groups.
Sam has a 5.0/5.0 Peer Review rating under Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest peer review rating for legal knowledge and ethics in the practice of law.
Sam enjoys cooking at home and puts his background in the restaurant business prior to practicing law to use when making meals at home. He also enjoys home improvement projects and spending time with his family in his free time.
