BiographyScott began his legal career as an intern in the Major Offense Prosecution Bureau of the Legal Aid Society's Brooklyn Office in 2001. He regularly tries criminal cases throughout New York City and has won numerous acquittals and dismissals. Scott is a tireless advocate having handled some high profile criminal cases and he has an extensive amount of litigation experience, including: winning a verdict on a major commercial L&T trial; arguing a homicide appeal before the appellate division; cross examining state expert in felony DWI case (minutes now used in training class for prosecutors); settling numerous civil rights cases in federal court for substantial sums of money; litigating adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court (including boxer Mike Tyson's case); and obtaining favorable results in numerous other civil and criminal cases in federal and state courts. Scott enjoys an excellent reputation among the bench and bar owing to years of competent and ethical advocacy on behalf of his clients.
