| Biography | Scott Loveless is one of Utah's leading mergers and acquisitions attorneys. He has extensive experience assisting clients with complex / strategic mergers, acquisitions, disposition of businesses and their assets, as well as leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, proxy contests, stock swaps, rollups, equity transactions, tender offers, asset exchanges, business restructuring, spin-offs, legal due diligence for merger and acquisition targets, as well as general corporate, business formation, and venture capital and private equity transactions. Mr. Loveless' clients cover a broad range of industries including medical, pharmaceutical, construction, technology, intellectual property, aviation and mining. Because of his reputation for handling high-profile transactions, Mr. Loveless has earned recognition by his peers in notable publications. Since inception, Chambers USA - America's Leading Business Lawyers has recognized Mr. Loveless as one of the top corporate/mergers and acquisitions lawyers in Utah. Mr. Loveless received his L.L.M. in taxation and his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University. From 1971 to 1978 he worked as legislative counsel in the United States Senate and United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. He is licensed to practice in the states of Utah, Virginia, and Colorado. Mr. Loveless has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Brigham Young University where he taught mergers and acquisitions law.
