Sean Berry is an associate in Cadwalader's Corporate Group, where his practice concentrates on corporate law, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate governance. He is an advisor to the Shareholder-Director Exchange (SDX), which produced the SDX Protocol, a 10-point protocol offering guidance to public company boards and shareholders on when such engagement is appropriate, and how to make these engagements valuable and effective.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Sean was an associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel in that firm's business transactions department, where he advised clients on a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including public and private acquisitions and divestitures, restructurings, joint ventures, corporate governance, and proxy contests.
Sean received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.A. from Trinity College (CT). Prior to law school, Sean worked in equity research at Goldman Sachs. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
