Sean Kulkarni is a Banking & Finance associate in Mayer Brown’s Washington DC office. His practice focuses on the representation of lenders, underwriters, borrowers and investors in connection with the financing and development of energy and infrastructure projects. Sean's experience includes the preparation, negotiation and review of financing documentation for syndicated loan and capital markets transactions, security documentation and project agreements. His recent experience has focused on Latin America, where his fluency in Spanish enables him to draft, negotiate and review documents in that language in addition to English.
Based in London from 2008 to 2011, Sean gained experience as a Corporate and Securities associate at another prominent global law firm, advising multinational banks and financial institutions on complex cross-border debt, equity and hybrid securities offerings. Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2012, Sean served as International Trade Policy fellow on the Committee on Ways and Means in the House of Representatives, where he assisted in advising Members of Congress on key trade law and policy issues, including the negotiation of bilateral and multilateral trade and investment agreements and World Trade Organization (WTO) matters.
Sean is a member of the Firm's Associate Diversity Council and a fellow at the Institute of International Economic Law at Georgetown University Law Center.
