The University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law has prepared students for the practice of law for over 125 years. We stress the fundamentals of legal thinking -- analysis and synthesis of court opinions, legal skills, preparation and argument of cases, and problem solving abilities to resolve client problems and the ethical issues that attorneys face. Our school offers an exceptional opportunity to learn the law under the guidance of a superb faculty. Many of our faculty members are recognized nationally as outstanding scholars in their specialized fields. Our Alternative Dispute Resolution program is nationally recognized, and students may choose to participate in clinical placements, which provide opportunities to work on actual cases.
