|Reported Cases||Significant Representative Matters: Obtained a Defense Verdict in a premises liability action against a Philadelphia dining establishment. Plaintiff claimed that she fell outside of the restaurant in oil, injuring her shoulder, back and hip. It was established that Plaintiff did not know exactly what caused her to fall, and Plaintiff could not prove that the Defendant had actual or constructive notice of any alleged defect or dangerous condition. We were able to show that there was no direct correlation between any fall that Plaintiff may have taken, and the injury that she claimed to have sustained. The case was appealed by Plaintiff, and the Defense Verdict was affirmed. Obtained a Defense Verdict in an auto accident lawsuit brought by two Plaintiff passengers in a rear end collision case. Over the course of the three day trial, we were able to prove to the jury that Plaintiffs' alleged injuries were not a result of the rear end accident. The jury awarded no damages to either Plaintiff. Plaintiff polled the jury, and the verdict was unanimous. Obtained a Defense Verdict in a limited tort auto accident action brought against our insured by a passenger involved in a minor motor vehicle collision. We were able to prove through Plaintiff's medical records that her injuries did not cross the limited tort threshold of permanency or serious impairment of a bodily function. At Arbitration, the Plaintiff was awarded no money.|
