Shanon Grauer is a partner in our Business Law Group in Toronto, past chair of our Health Law Group and a member of our Life Sciences Group. Ms. Grauer's corporate practice involves extensive work with private corporations and large affiliated groups of companies including the not-for-profit/charitable sector affiliated with healthcare. Her specialties include mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, contract drafting, franchising and Investment Canada (with a particular emphasis on cultural businesses). Among some of the clients she represents are: · a Toronto based hospital; · an international pharmaceutical company; · an international healthcare products company; · a major U.S. studio respecting its Canadian subsidiaries and its film and video distribution and other entertainment products marketed in Canada; and · Infrastructure Ontario respecting its hospital projects. Ms. Grauer's health law practice focuses on health regulatory matters and involves advising hospitals, suppliers to the health care sector, community care access centres, foundations, a laboratory, hair replacement centres and other stakeholders in the health services sector. Ms. Grauer teaches a course on Health Law and Ethics at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Medicine. She is also a director on the Advisory Board of Closing the Gap (a provider of health services). Ms. Grauer received her B.A. (Hons.) from the University of British Columbia and her LL.B. from the University of Toronto. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1978, and since then, has practised continuously with our firm. |
