Shauna Collins is a transaction attorney serving in the firm's Business Law section. She practices in the areas of real estate, business, energy and natural resources, and tax law. Her real estate practice focuses primarily on acquisitions and dispositions, financing, and development of real property in the commercial and industrial sectors. Her business and tax law practice includes secured transactions, business entity formations and dispositions, mergers and acquisitions, and other day-to-day business operations. She also practices in the area of energy and natural resources law, assisting in energy transactions and commercial lending.
Ms. Collins is a 2012 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude. She was honored with the Rickert Award for Excellence, the most prestigious and extensive award at the College of Law. Ms. Collins served on the Student Bar Association and was the co-founder and Vice President of the Lone Star Law Student Association.
Ms. Collins received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics, with honors and highest distinction, from Texas A&M University in 2009. She was an Undergraduate Research Scholar and was awarded the J. Wheeler Barger Outstanding Senior Award and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Outstanding Junior and Senior Awards. She was also a member of the National Champion American Agricultural Economics Association Quiz Bowl team in both 2007 and 2008.
