Shawna-Gay White is an associate in the Corporate Department of Cadwalader's New York office. Her practice is concentrated in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate finance and corporate governance. Shawna-Gay represents clients in a wide-range of complex transactions, including public and private mergers, acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, proxy contests, tender offers and joint ventures.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Shawna-Gay was an associate at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt and Mosle LLP in that firm's corporate and employee benefits departments.
Shawna-Gay received her A.B., cum laude in field, from Harvard University, her J.D. from Stanford Law School, where she was the Publishing Chair and a Lead Article Editor for the Stanford Journal of International Law and the Co-Programming Coordinator for the Women at Stanford Law, and her M.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University, where she was a Teaching Assistant for Economic Policy Analysis.
Shawna-Gay is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the District of Columbia.
