Sheena Paul guides her clients in successfully navigating the intricate rules and regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), especially the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Company Act of 1940, and the Small Business Investment Incentive Act of 1980.
A member of Sutherland's nationally recognized business development company (BDC) practice, which represents many of the nation's largest BDCs, Sheena advises clients on a broad range of legal matters and transactions, including raising capital and initial public offerings (IPOs).
Before joining Sutherland, Sheena served in internships with General Mills Corporation, Amnesty International and Volunteer Lawyers Network. An avid global traveler, Sheena has lived in India, Canada and the United Kingdom, and speaks six languages, including Hindi, Punjabi and French.
Sheena is admitted to the New York State Bar. Her work is supervised by District of Columbia bar members.
