Practice Focus

Stephanie Broder focuses her practice in the representation of mortgage lenders and servicers in all financial related litigation, including claims arising out of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, TILA, RESPA, qualified written requests, REO litigation and litigated foreclosure matters. She also regularly defends clients in premises liability matters, legal malpractice, real estate broker liability, ERISA litigation, nursing home negligence and automobile negligence cases.

Ms. Broder handles all phases of litigation in both state and federal actions. She obtained substantial trial experience during her tenure as an Assistant Public Defender.

Professional Background

Ms. Broder joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in November 2006. Previously she was an associate at Bernstein, Chackman and Liss P.A., in Hollywood, Florida. She also spent one year as an Assistant Public Defender with the Office of the Public Defender of Palm Beach County, where she was assigned to the Juvenile Division.

While still in law school, Ms. Broder was a legal intern with the Office of the Public Defender of Broward County, and she also gained experience with the Office of the State Attorney in Alachua County, where she did pro bono work in the Spring of 2002.
