Biography

Stephanie Techau is a shareholder in the firm's Litigation department. She practices in the areas of insurance coverage and conduct, insurance product litigation, personal injury and tort defense, commercial litigation, and workers' compensation.

Stephanie has been an active participant in professional legal organizations on the local and state levels. In addition to the American and Iowa Bar Associations, Stephanie is a member of the Polk County Bar Association, the Polk County Women Attorneys, Iowa Defense Counsel Association, Defense Research Institute, and the Iowa Association of Workers' Compensation Lawyers. She was elected to serve as the attorney representative for the Des Moines area on the State Judicial Nominating Commission from 2001-2007, and served nine years on the Supreme Court Board of Professional Ethics and Conduct from 1996-2005.
