Steve defends clients in complex products liability litigation, with an emphasis on toxic torts. He represents many of the nation's largest petrochemical and chemical companies in all aspects of litigation. With significant expertise in defense trial preparation, including deposing fact and expert witnesses, Steve has significant client contact and often is called upon to take a lead role in communications with opposing counsel on their behalf. In addition to toxic tort matters, Steve has been involved in litigation involving tobacco, the drug Fen-Phen, securities, agribusiness and labor and employment matters in state and federal courts. Steve actively mentors young attorneys at the firm in developing litigation skills and preparing for future interactions with clients.
