Steven S. Radin is one of the Firm's founding partners and Chairman of the Firm's Insurance and Commercial Litigation Departments. Mr. Radin regularly counsels major financial institutions. He represents insurance companies and banks in a variety of matters and has extensive experience in trial and settlement negotiations with respect to major insurance carriers on D&O liability insurance policies, insurance coverage, agent and company contract issues, and reinsurance issues. Mr. Radin is the former Deputy Attorney General for the Department of Banking and Insurance. He was appointed as Special Counsel to the New Jersey Commissioner of Insurance for the liquidation of the Integrity Insurance Company. He also served as Special Counsel to the New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and Insurance in the rehabilitation of Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company and as Special Counsel to the New Jersey Commissioner of Banking and Insurance in her capacity as Liquidator of HIP of New Jersey, Inc. Mr. Radin has appeared before many state insurance departments representing major insurance companies, agents and licensees on a multitude of regulatory insurance issues. He formerly served as Chairman and Chief Editor of the New Jersey Insurance Reporter - Shepard's/McGraw Hill. He also formerly served as Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Insurance Committee and presently serves as Vice Chair-Insurance for the American Bar Association's Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice. Mr. Radin serves on the Board of Visitors and Subcommittee of Resources and Capital Planning of the Columbia University Law School and as a Director of the Regional Business Partnership, formerly the Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Radin is currently engaged in representing the Health Care Industry. As counsel to the Health Care Industry he has been involved in transactional matters, litigation, mergers and acquisitions of health care facilities, medical groups and practices. He has represented the largest Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) in the country. He has also represented Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey in various matters. He currently represents a large hospital in Central New Jersey.
