Steven Wall specializes in condemnation, real estate litigation, foreclosure law, title insurance and land use / environmental litigation matters. Recent Work / Representative Matters In 2007 and 2008, Mr. Wall has successfully defended foreclosure trustees in attempts by property owners to assert class action and unfair competition claims that would have involved hundreds of trustees statewide and in excess of $20 million in claims. Mr. Wall is the lead trial lawyer in multiple recent condemnation cases involving CalTrans freeway right-of-way, downtown parking structure, downtown Ballpark, redevelopment projects, roadway expansions and development of new school sites. Mr. Wall is the lead attorney on title insurance, environmental (CEQA), right-of-way location and alternatives, foreclosure, land use, engineering, water rights, property damage and condemnation cases (1978-present). Mr. Wall represented a water company / landowner in obtaining a 2009 permit from the SWRCB to appropriate water from an underground stream. Mr. Wall represented SDG&E as co lead counsel with respect to its proposed Sundesert Nuclear Power Plant (1976 1978), with extensive administrative trials before the State PUC and State Energy Commission on transmission line corridors / rights of way. Mr. Wall was lead trial attorney for U.S. Borax, Canadian gas producers and other industrials in CPUC / FERC cases involving massive deregulation of natural gas industry in California, growth of cogeneration industry, and first FERC licensing of an interstate natural gas pipeline into California (1984-1991).
