The firm was established in 1995 and its founding members have collectively practiced in the Triangle for more than 60 years.
Mr. Stuart's housing finance practice builds on 13 years of prior service as general counsel to the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency. His insurance practice developed as counsel for more than 25 years to various insurance companies and self-insurance funds. His sports practice has been primarily focused on almost 25 years experience representing professional football players.
Ms. Stuart's practice has developed upon her business and corporate work for insurance companies and regional businesses as well as her litigation experience in both state and federal courts; her representation of government agencies on regulatory matters; her tenure as counsel, board member and director of tax exempt organizations including the U.S. Olympic Festival - 1987, Special Olympics World Games and the Pan-American Games; and, her long-standing advisor role in risk management and insurance matters.
Together, their respective practices create a unique firm that is focused on business, both mature and start-up companies, insurance regulatory, risk management, workers' compensation, bankruptcy, intellectual property and affordable housing.
