Susan M. Hartman practices in the areas of technology law, computer law, and Internet law. She represents both technology companies and other companies in dealing with the many issues involved in the acquisition, use, distribution and sale of technology. Susan works with clients in negotiating arrangements for development of technology. After a technology has been developed, she drafts and negotiates license agreements, value added reseller agreements, strategic partner agreements, and application service provider agreements. Susan also assists clients in marketing their technology nationally and internationally using joint marketing arrangements, cross licensing and dealer networks as well as the more traditional distributors, sales representatives and agents. Susan represents both start up and established companies in dealing with many Internet and e-commerce issues such as website development agreements, domain name issues, website terms and conditions and privacy policies. Susan has represented many Buchanan clients in the purchase of large computer systems and has also represented licensors of hardware, software and other products incorporating proprietary information.
