Ms. Susan Ning is head of the International Trade Group at King & Wood. She specializes in international trade, antitrust, and foreign direct investment in China.

Her legal practice covers a wide range of international trade issues, including general trade transactions, antidumping, safeguards, countervailing, and WTO dispute settlements. In particular, Ms. Ning is experienced in domestic and foreign antidumping proceedings and WTO issues. She has represented almost twenty foreign clients in Chinese antidumping investigations. In the area of WTO dispute settlement Ms. Ning has represented the Chinese government on many occasions.

Ms. Ning is also experienced in foreign direct investment. She regularly assists foreign enterprises in making investments and doing business in China. Furthermore, Ms. Ning, together her team, served as legal counsel to the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in 2008. She provides a variety of legal services including intellectual property protection, sales and marketing, facility planning and construction, technology, media, and other related issues.

Work Experience

Prior to joining King & Wood in 1995, Ms. Ning worked at the Global Law Office and for a number of other foreign law firms.

She received her LL.B. from the Law School of Peking University and her LL.M. from the Law School at McGill University in Canada. Ms. Ning was admitted as a Chinese lawyer in 1988.

As one of the earliest Chinese lawyers to practice international trade and investment, Ms. Ning is well-recognized in China.
