With more than a decade of experience in litigating copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, technology and other complex civil matters, Suzi has the perspective and experience to help you navigate through the roughest of seas.
Suzi has developed a reputation for hard work, dedication and zealous advocacy by achieving favorable outcomes in a variety of “bet the company” litigations involving claims of contempt of court, patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, fraud, breach of contract and others in both state and federal courts.
Suzi has experience in transactional intellectual property matters, including trademark, patent and copyright prosecution. Over the past few years, as craft breweries have sprung up around the country, she has had the pleasure of advising craft beer makers in trademark and copyright matters.
Suzi literally “wrote the book” on Gaining & Maintaining Competitive Advantage Through Intellectual Property (Execsense, Dec. 2013). In transactional and due diligence matters, you can rely on Suzi's background as a registered patent attorney to guide you through the process of assuring that intellectual property assets are solid.
In addition to being named the 2014 Outstanding Alumna by the University of South Florida's Chemistry Department, Suzi has been repeatedly selected for professional recognition as a Super Lawyers for Intellectual Property Litigation, one of Florida Trend's “Legal Elite,” and in 2009, was profiled as one of the Gulf Coast Business Review's “Top 40 Under 40”. Professionally, Suzi is active in the Ferguson-White Inns of Court; is past chair of the 13F Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar; and a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. She also serves on the board of Tampa Crossroads, a charitable organization that serves a variety of needs in the community. On the rare occasion that she has leisure time, Suzi enjoys traveling, cycling, kayaking, camping, hiking and spending time with her family and friends.
