| Biography | Professional Experience Mr. Bomzer is counsel in Day Pitney's Intellectual Property department, in the New York office. He practices in the areas of litigation, opinion writing, and prosecuting patent applications for domestic and foreign clients relating to inventions in the mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, telecommunication, software, and business method arts. Mr. Bomzer is skilled with the prosecution of international patent applications, regional and national stage patent applications, and patent applications filed in foreign countries unaffiliated with the Patent Cooperation Treaty. Prior to earning a J.D., Mr. Bomzer worked as a shock analysis and structural dynamics engineer at the Electric Boat Corporation, as a chemical process engineer with Pall Corporation, and as a structural design engineer with the Ryder Truck Company in its commercial car carrier division. In addition, Mr. Bomzer has taught undergraduate and graduate-level mechanical engineering courses at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University and the New York Institute of Technology. Mr. Bomzer is also a member of Day Pitney's Nanotechnology practice, which has members with advanced degrees in materials science, chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering and chemical engineering fields. As part of this group, Mr. Bomzer is a frequent contributor to Day Pitney's The Nano Newswire blog.
