The Kelleys are descendants of early settlers in Ft. Lauderdale and the family has provided lawyers to this community continuously for 4 generations. Rohan Kelly's grandfather (the first mayor of Ft. Lauderdale) was a lawyer who moved his practice to Ft. Lauderdale in 1912, his father was a lawyer who began practicing there in 1941, his son, Shane practices with him (see below) and another son and daughter practice elsewhere in Florida, also in the same specialty, and several uncles, an aunt, and cousins are also lawyers. The firm's practice is a boutique speciality practice which is limited to trust and estate related matters with major emphasis on fiduciary litigation. The firm has assembled a team of outstanding lawyers who are known throughout the state to be especially competent at what they do. The lawyers of this firm are active throughout Florida on committees and with organizations that draft changes to laws and write the court rules relating to wills and trusts. The firm's lawyers have long been active in writing and lecturing under the sponsorship of The Florida Bar to other attorneys to help them improve their professional skills in this specialty area of the practice.
