The Kelleys are descendants of early settlers in Ft. Lauderdale and the family has provided lawyers to this community continuously for 4 generations. Rohan Kelly's grandfather (the first mayor of Ft. Lauderdale) was a lawyer who moved his practice to Ft. Lauderdale in 1912, his father was a lawyer who began practicing there in 1941, his son, Shane practices with him (see below) and another son and daughter practice elsewhere in Florida, also in the same specialty, and several uncles, an aunt, and cousins are also lawyers.
