| Biography | Mr. Eissfeldt heads the firm's Corporate Practice Group and is located in its Peoria office where he is the office managing partner. He has extensive experience in the financial services, corporate and securities areas of law, concentrating his practice in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law matters. He has engaged in a wide variety of corporate and securities law matters including private and public securities offerings, securities regulation of public companies, corporate financings, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law matters. Mr. Eissfeldt's financial services practice includes the formation of banks, thrifts and holding companies, acquisition of banks, thrifts and non-banking companies, ownership restructuring transactions designed to permit S corporation status or to go private or avoid SEC reporting, trust preferred issuances, compliance issues, public and private securities offerings and other financing transactions, anti-takeover planning and other bank regulatory matters. He also represents community banks, thrifts and holding companies in a wide range of banking-related matters, such as the development of securities, insurance and other new services and products, general regulatory and supervisory matters and general corporate and securities law matters. His banking practice extends to thrift charter conversion transactions, mutual to stock conversions and cross-industry acquisition transactions between banking organizations and thrifts. Mr. Eissfeldt received both a B.S. degree and a M.S. degree in Finance from the University of Illinois. He also received his J.D. degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and was articles editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. Mr. Eissfeldt is admitted to practice in Illinois and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. As a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, he was chair of the Corporation and Securities Law Section. He also served as chair of the American Bar Association's Business and Commercial Law Committee of the General Practice Section and is a member of the Committee on Banking Law of the Business Law Section. Mr. Eissfeldt is a frequent author and speaker for various banking and professional organizations throughout the Midwest.
