Thomas Roberts, known as "T.C." around the office, joined us at the beginning of the year as a volunteer and quickly became a valuable attorney for the firm, with a broad range of knowledge in other areas as well. Originally from rural Alabama, T.C. is not afraid to dive into the trenches and get his hands dirty. T.C. maintains a sincere passion for helping those in need, even when the duty falls prey to inconvenience. T.C. is a Cum Laude graduate of Jacksonville State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with Special Honors in Marketing. After college, T.C. worked in the agribusiness industry as Operations Manager for Ellisville Seed LLC in Centre, Alabama.
As Operations Manager, T.C. worked long hours assisting farmers by supplying and recommending agricultural chemicals and seed varieties to better the farmers' businesses and help them become more efficient and effective. Also, T.C. managed a medium-sized grainery and handled all aspects of the business unit including managing legal contracts, logistics, personnel and accounting. During his tenure in agribusiness, T.C. enrolled in night classes at Jacksonville State University to pursue his M.B.A.
With a desire to expand the way he helped others, T.C. decided to continue his education by going to law school, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, in the Top 5%. T.C. served as the Submissions and Symposium editor of the Florida Coastal Law Review where he reviewed and selected submissions for publication in the journal. Also, T.C. planned and coordinated the annual symposium where scholars were brought to Florida Coastal from all over the country — their research and scholarship. T.C. received the Dean's Merit Scholarship multiple semesters based on his academic performance. He was invited to join Phi Delta Phi, an International Honors Fraternity. He received multiple book awards based on receiving the top grade in the specific class.
While getting his law degree he worked for judges and other lawyers as Law Clerk to cover all realms of an attorney's practice. He brings that legal experience, as well as marketing and business education to our law firm and has quickly become a great asset.
