Members of the firm's Transportation Law Group are available on a 24 hour/7 day basis by calling our Emergency Accident Response Program (EARP), at 866-TTH-LAW1. Clients utilize this program for early intervention in, and response to, catastrophic accidents for the purpose of counseling and protecting the companies, drivers, and insurers; coordinating and supervising the retention of appropriate experts; and collecting, documenting and retrieving evidence.

Services Available

The Group's lawyers have distinguished themselves in the successful completion of hundreds of jury trials and are recognized in the Central Pennsylvania area for trying and successfully resolving personal injury, property damage and cargo claims and suits for the transportation industry. The lawyers routinely represent many facets of the industry, including common carriers, public and inter-modal transportation; long-haul, LTL, super-regional and regional carriers; supermarket and department store fleets, oil and gasoline companies, moving and storage fleets, and other commercial private fleets of vehicles. Zealous representation is provided not only in civil claims and suits, including the defense of any punitive damage claims, but also in the defense of related criminal prosecutions arising from truck accidents.

The firm historically has been actively involved in insurance coverage, indemnity, and other contract issues related to the transportation industry. Its employment practice group is available to assist with labor, wrongful discharge, discrimination or other employment issues, or with the defense of workers' compensation claims and suits. The lawyers in the Transportation Law Group frequently are called upon to advise transportation clients in litigation outside the Central Pennsylvania area and the lawyers provide training seminars to the transportation industry.
