About this office: Established in 1887, Thompson & Knight today is a dynamic firm of approximately 420 attorneys. In the United States we have four offices in Texas and one in New York, and our international offices are located in Brazil, Europe, Mexico and North Africa. Thompson & Knight has represented clients in business transactions in Latin America for more than 25 years. Through our offices in Monterrey and Mexico City, we counsel U.S., Mexican, and international clients currently doing business, or considering doing business, in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America. We provide U.S. and Mexican legal counsel in diverse commercial transactions and matters. The clients served by our Monterrey office range from individuals to multinational conglomerates and host governments and include financial institutions, manufacturers and distributors of industrial goods, manufacturers and distributors of food and beverage products, offshore oil and gas drilling services, real estate development companies and entities in the agriculture, energy, construction, telecommunication, transportation and retail sectors. Because border commerce and trans-border commercial operations often involve immigration, employment, and labor issues, we have extensive experience with maquiladora facilities and all relevant union, non-union, employer, and employee relationships. Our attorneys also help clients comply with federal and state employment laws and treaties, and regularly defend employers against every form of employment-related claim, dispute and lawsuit. | Antitrust Law | Arbitration | | Business Law | Corporate Law | | General Practice | International Business Law | | Mergers and Acquisitions | Real Estate Law | | Securities Law | |
