Tim Hoxie focuses his practice on corporate governance, private equity, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience representing a variety of industries and business entities, including public and private companies, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
Tim's mergers and acquisitions experience includes stock and asset acquisitions, joint ventures, tender offers, mergers, spin-offs, reorganizations, exchange offers, and going private transactions. He has substantial experience representing investment funds and other private investors acquiring major or controlling interests in businesses. Tim also has extensive international corporate finance and acquisition experience. He has represented overseas clients seeking capital in the United States as well as clients seeking to acquire or sell businesses in the United States. Tim also has represented private equity investors (including governmental investors) in connection with global investments in private and public transactions.
Tim is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association, and he has chaired numerous business law committees within each organization. He is a past Chair of the California State Bar's Business Law Section and of its Corporations Committee, has served as Co-chair of the section's Opinions Committee, is currently Chair of the ABA Business Law Section Opinions Committee, and is a member of the Tri-Bar Opinions Committee. He is a director of the Working Group on Legal Opinions Foundation and is a past Chair of the ABA Business Law Section's Committee on State and Local Bar Relations.
