Mr. Rinner is a senior associate in the Albuquerque office. He practices in both the Litigation and Business Departments. In the Litigation Department, he specializes in defending corporations, including automotive and heavy equipment manufacturers, in lawsuits involving product liability and general liability matters. Representative clients include Ford Motor Company, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Kubota Tractor Corporation, and Caterpillar, Inc. In addition to representing clients in all phases of pre-trial litigation, Mr. Rinner also has jury trial experience in product liability cases. In the Business Department, he specializes in intellectual property law, particularly patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret law. His practice also includes licensing, unfair competition law and entertainment law. Mr. Rinner is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also has pre-trial and trial experience in patent, trademark, copyright, and unfair business practices litigation. Mr. Rinner served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law as the instructor/coach for the 2007 and 2008 Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition teams. Mr. Rinner also was named a "Future Star" in the 2009 and 2010 editions of Benchmark Litigation. As a law student, Mr. Rinner served as the Executive Lead Articles Editor for The John Marshall Law School Review of Intellectual Property Law. He also served as the President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and was a judicial extern to the Honorable James F. Holderman, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
