He has broad experience in all aspects of these types of cases, from injunctive proceedings through trial and appeal. He has also mediated and arbitrated a wide range of business and personal injury claims. Mr. Stieglitz is the coordinator of the firm's Business Litigation Group. Mr. Stieglitz's case experience includes: · defending class actions; · defending nationwide antitrust claims; · defending claims of a nationwide scheme to "steal" competitor's sales force, and induce widespread violations of non-compete contracts; · bad faith and breach of contract claims involving life, accident, and disability policies; · product liability claims involving automobile tires, forklifts and other construction equipment, propane tanks, gasoline nozzles, cranes, nails, human tissue transplants, electrical equipment; · UCC breach of warranty claims involving a wide variety of goods; · tobacco ESCROW and MSA litigation; · trademark and Lanham Act claims involving a wide variety of marks and advertising; · employee defection and employee loyalty claims; · defending lender liability claims. Mr. Stieglitz received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Order of Barristers. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a journalist for several South Carolina newspapers and operated his own statewide syndicated news service. Mr. Stieglitz's undergraduate and graduate education was at the College of William & Mary and the University of South Carolina, where he obtained degrees in International Relations.
