Victor Haley represents clients across the full range of timberland transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, timberland financings, joint ventures and timber supply agreements. He was lead counsel representing the buyers in the largest private land transaction ever, the acquisition of approximately five million acres of timberland from International Paper by a consortium of buyers. Recognized as a leading authority in timberlands, Victor regularly handles transactions throughout the United States, the Americas, and around the globe, most recently in Brazil, Belize, Costa Rica, China and Fiji.
With over 25 years of experience, Victor helps hotel and resort developers successfully navigate the ever-changing hospitality landscape, assisting clients in all aspects of hotel acquisition, development and finance, including purchase and sale agreements, management contracts, leases for both landlords and tenants, acquisitions and franchising agreements. He has a particular focus on Caribbean projects, recently handling projects in the Bahamas, Curacao, Antigua and Costa Rica. Victor also serves as a member of Sutherland's Executive Committee.
