Selected Experience · Managing multiple confidential worldwide rights clearance and re-branding programs resulting from spin-offs, mergers and acquisitions by major publicly-traded companies. · Drafting and negotiating endorsement and licensing agreements with athletes, designers and strategic brand extension partners in the sporting goods, apparel, footwear and luxury goods industries. · Obtaining, and sustaining on appeal, summary judgment, finding infringement of a famous beverage brand and enjoining a tenacious start-up championed by the state's leading newspaper. · Counsel in over 100 U.S. federal court matters relating to trademarks, advertising, copyright, unfair competition and anti-trust issues and admitted to the bars of the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, Eleventh and Federal Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court. Professional Associations Ms. Taylor has been active for many years in International Trademark Association (INTA) and MARQUES The Association of European Brandowners as well as other professional associations. Ms. Taylor is the sole U.S. law firm member serving on the Council of MARQUES. She also serves on the MARQUES Geographical Indications (GI) Team and the GI Committee of INTA. She is a frequent writer and speaker on issues related to conflicts between EU regulations protecting GIs and the rights of trademark owners. Ms. Taylor is a member of INTA's North American Panel of Distinguished Neutrals in Intellectual Property Cases, an alternative dispute resolution organization specializing in trademark controversies and related causes. Previously, Ms. Taylor co-chaired the Annual Meeting of United States Trademark Association in Nashville and served on the Board of that organization when the INTA name change was adopted. She chaired the INTA Publications Committee and was editor of INTA's State Law of Trademarks and Unfair Competition and author of the U.S. Chapter of Worldwide Trademark Transfers. Background Ms. Taylor chaired the original International Forums Committee which planned INTA's first three overseas programs in Budapest, Tokyo and Beijing. In addition, she has served on the Planning Committee and the Information Resources Committee of INTA. She originated and twice chaired the INTA Advanced Trademark Workshop; originated and chaired the first INTA International Basics Seminar and has served as a speaker on numerous other programs for ALI-ABA, MARQUES and INTA. She is a past chairperson of the Patent, Trademark and Copyright section of the State Bar of Georgia, and a member of the Atlanta Lawyers Club. Ms. Taylor is a graduate of Smith College, and received her J.D. degree with Distinction from Emory Law School in 1977. She was Articles Editor of the Emory Law Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif.
