Walton Lantaff has a large and well experienced full service insurance law division, which advises our clients regarding the interpretation of their insurance policies and represents insurance companies in all types of coverage disputes, including defense of first and third party common law and statutory bad faith claims. Our firm handles a wide variety of these types of disputes, including governmental liability, medical malpractice, fidelity and surety, health and disability claims, homeowners and automobile coverage, declaratory judgment actions, interpleader, excess coverage, and defense of bad faith claims.
The firm’s services also include instituting declaratory judgment actions on our clients’ behalf, responding to civil remedy notices and settlement demands, in addition to counseling our insurance clients regarding these issues. Our coverage attorneys also advise and consult with insurers in evaluation of extracontractual claims, drafting of policy forms and endorsements, and issuing coverage opinions. Our clients include large and small property, casualty, life, professional, commercial and marine insurers.
In addition to providing litigation support, Walton Lantaff consults and reviews client claims handling practices and procedures. Lastly, our attorneys provide continuing education seminars for its clients regarding contractual claims and the prevention of bad faith.
