WeirFoulds is focused on four broad areas of practice: (1) Corporate; (2) Property; (3) Government; and (4) Litigation Law.

Within these core areas of practice, as well as key sub-specialties, the firm meets the most complex and sophisticated legal challenges. Our lawyers are consistently recognized as leaders in their chosen areas of practice and the profession at large.

(1) Corporate - The firm's corporate practice has a long and strong tradition of serving business clients in the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, banking and corporate finance, private equity, securities, multinational transactions, commercial real estate, leasing and development, public sector transactions and tax, regulatory and intellectual property matters. WeirFoulds provides comprehensive legal services to a wide range of clients: from public companies and major institutions requiring sophisticated legal services to entrepreneurs building an organization from the ground up.

(2) Property - WeirFoulds is also known for its exceptional strength in real estate and property development law. (4) Litigation - WeirFoulds is known for its strength in complex litigation cases, with more than half of our lawyers practising before courts and tribunals in Canada and other jurisdictions. Based on our broad litigation experience and depth of advocacy skills, clients bring their most challenging and pressing problems to WeirFoulds.
