Wendy's practice involves a range of trade practices advisory, enforcement, and regulatory matters. Her experience includes advising on the Australian competition law risks and compliance issues arising from complex merger transactions, joint venture and other commercial arrangements and seeking approvals from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). Wendy has also assisted clients in ACCC investigations, including in relation to allegations of cartel conduct, misuse of market power, predatory pricing and other anticompetitive conduct. In particular, she has advised on competition law matters in the airline, telecommunications, media, supermarket, fuel and financial services industries.
Before joining Mayer Brown JSM, Wendy worked in the Competition and Regulation group of a top tier Australian law firm. She also worked at the ACCC as a senior officer undertaking investigations of mergers across a range of industries, including in supermarket, liquor, pharmaceutical, optical, travel, transport, and packaging industries. While at the ACCC, Wendy was also involved in enforcement investigatory work relating to possible contraventions of the competition and consumer protection law provisions in Australia.
