About this office:

We founded our firm in 1989 when twenty corporations and their insurance carriers, who had consolidated their defenses, asked us to establish a firm that would meet the specific needs of their organization. We established offices in Philadelphia and New Jersey, and later opened a Delaware office. Our firm continues to defend these corporations in federal and state courts in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Since June of 1997, our firm has quadrupled in size. The firm has a very active New York City practice and the firm opened its Pittsburgh office in 2001 to handle Western Pennsylvania litigation. In addition, the firm has expanded its practice to West Virginia to meet its clients' needs in this jurisdiction.

In addition to the core of original corporations and their insurance carriers, our current clients include PECO Energy Company, JJ White, Dana Corporation, CertainTeed Corporation, United States Gypsum Company, Armstrong World Industries Inc., Fisher Scientific, General Nutrition Center, TRW, Arvin Meritor, Maremont, Trinity Industries, Envirosource, RLI, Crum & Forster, Miller's Mutual, State Workers Insurance Fund, Agway, Kelsey Hayes, CNA Holdings, Mannington Mills, Norton, and many others.

In order to facilitate rapid communication, the firm has invested heavily in technology, which links our offices and, where needed, is connected directly to clients. We employ the latest litigation technology, including computerized case management, legal research, document organization and retrieval, and deposition systems.

Our firm has been selected once again by A.M. Best to be included in its most recent directory of recommended insurance defense attorneys. All of our shareholders are A-V rated. Our selection by Martindale-Hubbell to the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers places our firm in the top 5% of law firms in the United States.
