Practice/Industry Group Overview

The law practices of Mr. Cifaldi and Mr. Poondi include a special emphasis in the area of pharmacy law. They have represented independent pharmacists, retail chains, wholesalers, hospitals, and pharmacy technicians. Their work includes representing pharmacists and pharmacies before the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy, New Jersey Medicaid, Medicare, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and many other regulatory agencies as well as third party insurance companies. Additionally, Mr. Cifaldi and Mr. Poondi provide guidance on the regulatory responsibilities associated with the sale and purchase of pharmacies.

Mr. Cifaldi has practiced pharmacy law for over 25 years. He is a registered pharmacist in the State of New Jersey. Mr. Cifaldi is also the attorney for the New Jersey Pharmaceutical Association and the Garden State Pharmacy Owners Association.  In addition to his work with the firm, Mr. Cifaldi has been an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Law at Ernest Mario (Rutgers) School of Pharmacy since 1986.

Mr. Poondi is also a registered pharmacist in the State of New Jersey, completing the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Rutgers University. Mr. Poondi is an adviser to the Indian Pharmacists Association and is a guest lecturer at the Ernest Mario (Rutgers) School of Pharmacy. Both Mr. Cifaldi and Mr. Poondi regularly give continuing education seminars relating to important pharmaceutical legal issues for programs sponsored by academic institutions, professional organizations, and retail chains.
