Bill Denney works with clients in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Estate and Gift Taxation, and Business Ownership Succession. Bill's preferred approach to guiding the client through wealth transfer is to explain the options available to obtain the client's goals, help the client select from those options, create the plan incorporating the selected options, and work with the client to implement the plan. Bill uses Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Grantor Retained Annuity/Income Trusts, Charitable Remainder/Lead Trusts, and Limited Liability Partnerships and Corporations in creating plans for clients. Bill administers estates and trusts, and prepares Estate Tax Returns, Gift Tax Returns and Personal and Fiduciary Income Tax Returns. Bill is a 1969 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Bill was a member of Law Review, and served as Research Editor of The Urban Lawyer, while attending law school at The University of Missouri-Kansas City, from which he graduated with distinction in 1977. Bill is a member of The American Bar Association, section of Real Property, Probate, and Trusts; The Missouri Bar Association; The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association; the Park University Planned Giving Council; and is a former director of The Kansas City Estate Planning Society. Bill has often spoken at seminars on estate planning and probate, and was awarded for outstanding community service in cooperation with the Advanced Directives Community Project, a health care initiative of the Midwest Bioethics Center.
