William Lenahan's practice concentrates on matters of reimbursement, criminal and civil sanction issues, licensure and certification revocation actions, and contractual and transactional matters involving health care providers. He focuses on counseling and advocating for health care providers for federal, state and other third party reimbursement, contract drafting and negotiation, licensing and professional credentialing. William also represents providers under review for Medicare, Medicaid or other third-party sanction actions as well as providers or practitioners in licensure or certification revocation actions. He addresses other regulatory concerns before the Pennsylvania departments of Public Welfare, Health, Aging and State and the United States Department of Health and Human Services. He gained the experience necessary to represent health care providers in these highly technical areas through serving five years as a staff attorney in the legal office of the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, followed by five years as a supervising attorney. William currently works with large and small hospitals, nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled, public and private mental health providers, community health centers and individual and group health care practitioners. He also represents home health care agencies, pharmacies and pharmacy chains, laboratories, managed care organizations and provider service associations, in addition to entrepreneurs and consumers in the health care industry.
