| Biography | Bill has had a long varied legal practice over the course of his 35-year career. A former prosecutor, public defender, and Municipal Court judge, he has tried over one hundred jury trials, both as a sole practitioner and as a law firm partner. Moving from criminal to civil law, Bill also served for several years as a land condemnation expert for the State of Indiana. His current area of emphasis is worker's compensation, where he has dealt with cases involving such major issues as refining the definition of "disability" in Indiana Law. An Indiana native and lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he received his undergraduate degree from Butler University and his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1966. Bill is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations, the Indiana Judges Association and is a Certified Mediator. In addition to practicing law, Bill is also the President of his synagogue, Vice President of the American Sephardic Federation, and a past President of Sertoma International. |
