Bill is a senior member of the Firm's Litigation Management Group concentrating in the defense of pharmacy malpractice, medical malpractice, products liability, construction and general litigation matters. Bill and his colleagues in Litigation Management have developed an innovative and proactive approach for addressing the litigation needs of the Firm's largest corporate clients. By consolidating the defense of litigation claims asserted in multiple jurisdictions nationally and regionally, the Litigation Management team has applied a uniform approach to litigation while establishing individualized defense plans tailored to the unique circumstances of each case. Through their efforts, Bill and his colleagues have succeeded in enhancing the quality of the defense of matters while significantly reducing the client's overall defense costs and indemnity and reputational exposure.
Bill also serves as primary investigator and trial counsel in high risk and high visibility matters brought against a Fortune 12 Healthcare company that have been filed in multiple jurisdictions to which he is responsible. His team employs a comprehensive early intervention approach to investigating and resolving significant events early in order to preserve the reputational integrity of our clients. In addition, he has been assigned as regional litigation counsel for a major construction company whose revenues recently exceeded $1 billion. Bill's litigation and trial experience has included the defense of a wide variety of disputes, including pharmacy, medical and dental malpractice, products liability, construction and general litigation as well as the defense of, pharmacists, health care professionals, and dentists before their respective professional licensing boards, physicians in Medicare fraud matters, and institutional clients in OSHA matters. His experience has been instrumental in assisting the Firm's clients in addressing their increasing litigation needs, as well as, in developing strategies to proactively reduce our clients litigation costs and reputational exposure.
Before Edwards Wildman
After college and law school, Bill served on active duty as a naval officer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps where he was assigned to positions at Bethesda Naval Hospital and the Naval District Washington before assuming the duties as the general counsel to the Naval Air Station in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. Upon his Honorable discharge from active service, he became an associate and partner at a Boston-based firm before joining the firm in 2000. He continues as a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve today where he has attained the rank of Captain and has been appointed to lead major legal commands in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Bill is a Captain in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the U.S. Navy Reserves where he has been selected as Commanding Officer to several major legal commands. He also has served as the legal member of his parish counsel, performs pro bono representation to active duty service members, reserve personnel and retired veterans who have been disabled. He is also a member of his local Knights of Columbus and Lions Club.
