William Y. Klett, III practices in the Intellectual Property group. Mr. Klett's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, as well as on patent and trademark prosecution and protection and technology law. He is also routinely involved in the intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions involving high technology and internet companies. Mr. Klett has participated in over 80 patent, trademark and copyright lawsuits in federal courts across the country, representing companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, SCANA, the Recording Industry Association of America and its members, and individual inventors and artists. Mr. Klett previously served as a Commissioner on the South Carolina Supreme Court Commission on Grievances and Discipline and as Commissioner on the South Carolina Supreme Court Commission on Lawyer Conduct. He has served as the Chairman of the South Carolina Bar's Ethics Advisory Committee. Mr. Klett is a member of the American Bar Association (Intellectual Property Law and Litigation Sections).
