Practice/Industry Group Overview

The firm's antitrust practice includes representing clients in a wide range of matters before the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice – Antitrust Division. These matters include not only representation of clients in investigations or litigation, but also in the filing of compliance reports, preparing comments on proposed regulations, seeking order modifications, and in protecting our clients’ interests in transactions involving third-parties.

In appropriate instances, we will invoke procedural mechanisms available to minimize a client's antitrust risk, such as the Department of Justice business review letter or the FTC's advisory opinion procedures. In addition, our antitrust attorneys are mindful of the significant role that some states now play in antitrust enforcement matters and have dealt with state attorneys general on antitrust issues.
