Wong Chong Wah is a consultant in Skrine. He joined the firm in 1969 and has been a partner since 1976 until December 2010 when he become a consultant. He is admitted to the Bar in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

Mr. Wong has more than 35 years of legal experience and appears frequently in the superior courts in Malaysia. His area of practice includes litigation and alternative dispute resolution, corporation and partnership, tax, duties & excise, land acquisition, insurance and defamation.

He has conducted numerous cases of which at least 60 cases have been reported in the Malaysian law Journal and other law reports. He also acted as one of the counsel in a Constitutional Tribunal specifically set up to inquire into alleged judicial misconduct.

Mr. Wong has acted in several arbitration proceedings involving construction contracts and for various financial institutions in relation to a wide range of litigation matters including local incorporation, mergers and takeovers. He had appeared in the Privy Council, when Malaysia has appeals to the Privy Council, as a junior counsel.

He now serves as the sole Malaysian member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce and is a fellow of the Malaysia Institute of Taxation. He has recently been appointed a member of the listing committee of Bursa Malaysia Berhad (Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange).
