Yvonne Marcuse is Counsel with Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer P.A.'s Redevelopment practice group and also works closely with the firm's Land Use, Environmental, and Real Estate practice groups. She represents both public and private sector clients in all phases of the redevelopment process, including blight determinations, redevelopment plans, redeveloper designations, redevelopment agreements, property tax abatements and exemptions and private financings. She also has considerable experience in litigation and appeals involving land use regulation and other municipal actions, real estate transactions, and eminent domain. Her public sector clients include municipalities, municipal redevelopment agencies, housing authorities, utilities authorities, and parking authorities. She has represented numerous private clients in transactional matters and before planning and zoning boards, redevelopment entities, the New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing, and other State agencies.
Ms. Marcuse is a past director of the Land Use Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She served on the Editorial Board of the Section's newsletter and as special editor of the Land Use issue of New Jersey Lawyer Magazine. She is also a physical anthropologist with interests that include dyslexia, left-handedness, and genetics.
