On Wednesday, May 28, 2003, President Bush signed into law the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 (the "Act"), which contains approximately $318 billion of tax relief for individuals, businesses and investors. Although the Act represents the third largest tax cut in the nation's history, it is only a fraction of the $726 billion package that was originally sought by the President.
