Voters Pass Proposition 39

On November 7, 2000, the California voters passed Proposition 39 (Smaller Classes, Safer Schools and Financial Accountability Act). By law, Proposition 39 is effective immediately but certain requirements set forth below must be complied with in order to utilize Proposition 39. This initiative measure amends, repeals and adds provisions to the California Constitution and to the California Education Code.
