Federal Court Blocks EEOC Rule On Retiree Health Plans |

A federal court in Pennsylvania has issued an injunction blocking the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) from putting into effect a rule that permits employers to coordinate the provision of retiree health benefits with eligibility for Medicare or a comparable state health benefits program without violating the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA).
