Distribution of Social Security Numbers Breaches Privacy

According to a state court in Minnesota, Social Security numbers are "private facts," and if they are distributed in a manner that unreasonably exposes plaintiffs to a significant risk that the numbers will be misused, plaintiffs may bring an action for invasion of privacy.
