On July 31, the House of Representatives passed the Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2007, a statute aimed at reversing the Supreme Court's recent ruling in Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., in which the Court held that plaintiffs alleging pay discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 must file a charge of discrimination within 180 days of the date a discriminatory pay decision is made.
